According to information received at the museum, they have asked CSX for permission to use the L&N logo on this unit, but thus far (possibly because of the museum's ties to the Nashville & Eastern and Nashville & Western Railroads and the transloading facility next to the museum which is owned by the same people which are at least in theory in competition with CSX for Nashville traffic) has been refused. |

The F7 A-B-B set was built by EMD in 1952 for the Bessemer & Lake Erie. The A unit was numbered 719, B unit 715 was BLE (R/N?) & 719 was BLE (R/N?). The entire BLE F unit fleet was sold to Larry's Truck Electric in 2000 and TCRM bought an ABBA set the following year. The 3 in the image debuted in 2003. A unit 715 runs but awaits cosmetic work. |
