Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on 5 September 1946. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9923, an H-8SC (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as an H-8C during October of 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-8SC in December of 1925, and retired in September of 1949 after 39 years of faithful service.
